Articulating Practice was a five-day workshop by artist and writer Claire Potter for participants of both the fine art and contemporary art practice bachelors programs at Leeds Metropolitan as part of the university's Futures Fest program.

Students from across both programs and all year groups participated in program of writing and editing exercises designed to shake off the typical diction, style and tone associated with writing about art works and exhibitions, and to provide exposure to works that utilise language by artists and writers currently practicing in the UK.

A limited edition (25) publication was produced by Megan Skinner, William Clarke and Olivia Hoy as a result of their engagement with the program. Documentary images can be seen on the Publication page of this site.

This blog was used as a communications tool during the project and now acts as an archive and point of reference. For further information about the project or publication please contact the arts department of Leeds Metropolitan referencing Futures Fest and the workshop title, Articulating Practice.
